Season 1 Recap
Micheal Gagz: [00:00:00] If you’re like me, it’s obsessive. You lace up your shoes, put one foot in front of the other and teach yourself to push through at all costs. I’m on a journey, a journey to find what makes me know me.. no us. What makes all of us tick? Tune in, turn on, drop out and run. I’m Gagz, and this is Running Times.
Christopher Plant: [00:00:56] So, all I want to say is Gagz, man, I have loved working with you on this. I think that I wanting to build a podcast network. And, and to be honest, you were one of the first people I started talking to and, you know, I’m just very grateful that how deeply you embraced it, how well you did and how well it’s been received, because I will say from RADIOKISMET, statistical standpoint that you have done a phenomenal job, people listening to your, your, your podcast.
It’s been growing since day one, you know? So, so keep it up and
Micheal Gagz: [00:01:27] They don’t tell me numbers around here, guys. They just, they keep me locked. Maybe just feed me mine.
Christopher Plant: [00:01:32] I don’t want to feed, feed his feed, his ego, you know, get his head too big. I mean, he’s already got that big beard. What kind of guests can we expect from season two
Micheal Gagz: [00:01:40] In season two, Chris, I would like to see, we had a good season with the local guests, a couple people, a couple of folks from New York.
I’d like to see it a little bit, open up a little bit more, get a wider, wider range of folks coming in. Maybe some people from the West coast. I love to see my Coach Adam Kimball come out here. Very inspirational guy.
Christopher Plant: [00:01:59] Yeah, that’s good. I think, I mean, I think it’s cool too.
Micheal Gagz: [00:02:02] Yeah. And there’s thanks you. If the listeners at home, you know, if, cause I just wanna say thank you because you guys write me and I, and I, and I write you back.
If you have someone in mind who you think would make a good story, let me know. Please. and I should say this too. Like I, one of the things I wanted to do this season, at some point we schedule some kind of group run. All right. But we’re in the middle of, of a pandemic, so that’s not a good look and it’s just, it’s, it’s, it’s just not safe quite frankly.
So maybe next season, if there’s a, if there’s a vaccine and things are starting to get back to normal again,
Christopher Plant: [00:02:36] well, KISMET would love it. RADIOKISMET and KISMET would love to be,
Micheal Gagz: [00:02:40] I mean, how cool would that be Chris? Like, you know, once a month you’d meet up down here
Christopher Plant: [00:02:43] Once a week, bro. You know, maybe once a month.
Yeah. I hear you. I hear you start slow. You can grow from there. I, I don’t yeah. Under promise over deliver,
Micheal Gagz: [00:02:54] you know, but I just, so, and also let me know what you want to see.
Christopher Plant: [00:02:59] Okay, where should they find you?
Micheal Gagz: [00:03:00] They can always find me on Instagram at BDG123. And my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s G A G Z
Christopher Plant: [00:03:08] G AG Z run, gagz run. All right, well that is it. Is there any last words you’d like to provide on the, completion of your first season?
Micheal Gagz: [00:03:19] Yes. well, yeah, Chris, I just want to say, I’m just gonna say thanks again to everybody. I want to say thank you to you, Chris. All the, all the, there’s about team of 30 people behind the scenes here.
I want to thank all of, you know, that people are staying away from their family. We’re dragging.
Christopher Plant: [00:03:34] Now we’re saying now Dylan Garven and Studio D.
Micheal Gagz: [00:03:38] Thank you guys. And they were
Christopher Plant: [00:03:39] fantastic.
Micheal Gagz: [00:03:40] And I, you know, if there’s one thing, like I’m, I’m very passionate about running. If Chris, if you get, if you asked me to do something and I’m into it,
Christopher Plant: [00:03:50] You’re full in.
Micheal Gagz: [00:03:50] Yeah. And so if it, the people out there, if you know me personally, You know, I’m kinda, this is it’s consuming me and I’m pursuing and I’m tackling it with the same gusto, this and this, what I said to humans, when this whole thing started Chris, I was like, Oh, I don’t know where it’s going to go, but I’m going to tackle it with the same gusto.
You know, that I do the
Christopher Plant: [00:04:11] Your commitment, has only grown. I mean,
Micheal Gagz: [00:04:14] you, and it’s going to continue to grow, you know, like my vision for this and where I see this, you know, it’s like, It’s a pretty intimate thing. You know, people are inviting me into their lives. And like when I have someone on the podcast, you know, I think about their stories.
Like when I’m living, my mom live my everyday life, you know, I’m thinking about the people that I’m bringing on the podcast, I’m thinking about their stories. And in turn what’s happening is you guys are thinking about the stories that I’m bringing to you. And I want to continue that tradition. And I think that if I do this thing, right, and I have your help, we can grow this into something big, then not just, I can be proud of that.
Like the city can be proud of that. There are no that our community can be proud of, you know, like I it’s just, it’s, it’s a great opportunity, man.
Christopher Plant: [00:04:55] Yeah. Well, and I think probably, you know, to, to close out the thing that I, I loved as somebody who’s, you know, started my, my move to Philly website, six years ago.
Yeah. And I’ve always been a major advocate of the city of Philadelphia. And when I realized that you had effectively taken 76, you’d taken something with a historical context and you applied it to your real life and then you studiously researched it, put it together and then executed on it. It was a 76 mile run.
I represented on a bunch of levels as you know, somebody who rode a bicycle from San Francisco to Boston, right. But then also somebody who took their level of commitment to the city that they love and made it real. And I think that that’s what I responded to and I look forward to more ways to, even as the podcast expands out to a larger audience and a larger pool of, of, of guests.
I know because you’re going to be a part of it that the city of Philadelphia is well represented. So, and we’re in the studio closing out with Michael Gagliardi. All right. AKA Gagz.
